Golden Throne of Enlightenment

Monday, February 15, 2010
Heads of Mutts or traditional monasteries belonging to the Vedic Tradition are called Peetadipatis. All these heads or Peetadipatis sit on a traditional throne known as a Peeta. The Peeta or throne is usually called a simhasana (seat of the lion) and represents the mastery over ones emotions. The lion also symbolises the ability to lead others into liberation. There are thousands of such Peetas and Mutts spreading across the length and breadth of India whose leaders work tirelessly preserve the Vedic tradition and help millions to lead a life of health, wealth and fulfillment. Most of these thrones are made of wood. The wooden thrones are later covered either with a sheet of copper lacquer coated with golden paint or a sheet of pure silver for good appearance. Some examples of these beautiful Simhasanas are shown here. We restrict the number of examples due to lack of space!.

Even enlightened masters such as Sri Ramana Maharishi had their throne made during their lifetime. On the legs of the thrones the images of deities representing creation, preservation, rejuvenation, and illusion are carved intricately. The seat itself represents Enlightenment. Together they form the five actions of existence. In Vedic Tradition the Guru is above ALL these actions of existence and hence qualified to sit on the throne. Shown below is the throne of Sri Ramana Maharishi at the Ramanasramam in Tiruvannamalai (This implicitly indicates that Sri Ramana Maharishi has also created an institution to spread the knowledge of the Self). The throne is made of pure granite with great workmanship. There are also some closeup shots of the four legs of this beautiful Simhasana used by the great sage.

A more closer look

Observe the deities representing creation, protection, rejuvenation, and illusion on the legs of this beautifully carved granite throne.

For the delight of the readers, BHAGAWAN Sri Ramana Maharishi seated on the majestic throne when He walked the planet. Observe that the seat is place at the same spot in the ashram. Notice the lions on the sides and the intricate lotus carving on the back.

Many a time when Sri Ramana Maharishi was alive, his disciples such as Kavyakanta Ganapati Muni and others would praise him and compare him with the Gods of the Vedic Tradition and hence fit for being seated on the ‘Throne of Enlightenment’. For example, in this beautiful verse, Ganapati Muni emphatically declares that Sri Ramana is Subrahmanya incarnate. Other times Sri Ramana is also described as the form of Dakshinamoorti.

fullest extent, darçi - seeing, dhiñaëo - wise,

intellegent, dvaipäyano - Vyasa, adhyäruhat -

mounted, paçcäd - after, bodha - knowledge, kalä - a

single portion (one-sixteenth), vidhüta - dispelled,

timiraù - darkness, çaìkä - fear, apahaç - removing,

çaìkaraù - Sankara, tat - that, samprati - now, akhilä

- whole, avané - world, tala - surface, juñäm - suffering

in, äcärya - teacher, siàhäsanaà - lion’s throne (seat

of honor), deva O Lord!, tväm - you, prativékñate -

(it) awaits, naratano - embodied as man, gérväëa -

gods, senäpate - O army chief!

That Lion’s seat of honor (the seat seen in previous pictures) which was previously

mounted by the wise Vyasa, who saw the fullest extent

of the Vedas, was afterwards occupied by fear destroying

Sankara, who with a single portion of his

knowledge dispelled the darkness (of ignorance). Now

that throne of Acharya, (to save) those who are

suffering in the world awaits thee, O Lord embodied

as man, O Army Chief of the Gods (Skanda)!

The above verse also confirms that the great enlightened masters Sri Veda Vyasa and Sri Adi Shankara also sat on precious simhasanas (lion’s seat of honor) similar to the one used by Sri Ramana with different deities representing creation, preservation, rejuvenation, illusion and enlightenment on the legs of the simhasana (throne). The traditional picture of Sri Adi Shankara as shown below re-emphasises this wonderful tradition.

Jody Radzik

Monday, January 18, 2010
One of the Anti-Guru who fits the bill perfectly (almost...he is not perfect even in this) is Jody Radzik. There are many blogs on his grandiose KARMA accumulation. His blog is 'Guruphiliac'.

The only thing he ever knows is 'Everything is same. Lets now talk about poop...'. Sorry readers. If you thought he knows how to say 'Vedanta', he doesn't. It sounds as though he just got out of diarrhea. Sounds logical because he accumulates so much karma that the Department of Water and Power in Southern California has marked him as 'hazardous' and 'smelly'.

Neither did he finish his 'Interdisciplinary Consciousness Studies' at University. Will be interesting to find out how he got thrown out. Probably drugs as this website states.

http://www.womanthouartgod.com/jodyrphiliac.php

He hardly spent anytime reading anything related to Hinduism but he criticizes it based on his hallucinations and insidious behavior. His mental setup is irrepairably imbalanced when you read his abusive posts.

http://geraldjoemoreno.wordpress.com/2009/11/29/guruphiliac-the-truth-about-the-guru-bashing-blog-guruphiliac/

One of the facts that this blog states is that he has a guru? Interesting. He would definitely fit the U-Turn proposition. Shame on him. What would have made him run away? mmm. May be he got afraid that girls are not coming near him and that he couldn't party.

We could understand clearly from this blog that he was upset and frustrated with his own Guru. In his short stay he only visited his Guru once a week. Can you believe that? A guy who parties all the time, often with underage girls, marijuana etc., doesn't know abc of Vedanta or Upanishads and doesn't live a proper Indian life trying to shit on Gurus? What a shame! And a few other Morons praise this. All bunch of a**h***s.

More blogs on him:

See why Jody isn't your friend

See why you shouldn't trust your kids with him.

History Centric Hysteria

Saturday, January 16, 2010

Quality No. 4

One of the profound qualities of an Anti-Guru is 'History Centeredness'. What do we mean by this. For a anti-guru the guru can only be 'in History' if at all there can be one. There are many organizations and individuals today who glorify the past at the expense of the present. I'm not saying something is wrong with glorifying the past. But lets be clear that the present is equally important.

Lets see what I mean. If for some reason we cease to have any history and all history is lost, then what happens to our tradition? ALL History centric ideas will cease to exist. Means, any divinity of any person will not be available to us. But our inner self will be available to us. Our strong understanding will be available to us. From the Eternal reality of our tradition the truth will be reclaimed back again because Truth is Eternal. This Truth is available to the common man only with the help of Living Gurus. The Truth is available only with people who have realized and attained oneness with that ultimate reality and are living it. In essence the Living Guru is the inevitable Truth and uniqueness of our tradition. But for the people who don't want to accept that there can be a Living Guru viz. the Moron anti living-gurus, for them nothing is left. They depend on a history. For them nothing else is a possibility.

And that is quite natural. If there is a Living Guru and you accept that he is a Living Guru, then its a huge problem of power! How can the moron surrender? because there is not an iota of surrender in him. If at all sometimes he acts as though he surrenders to something but later on when it doesn't work out he needs a way out. The way out is to shout badly about the Guru so that the anti-guru doesn't feel any guilt. Guilt is a huge thing. Whether the anti-guru knows about this or not is a different story.

LIVING GURU IS A THREAT TO THE WHIMS AND FANCIES OF AN ANTI-GURU.

He will never encourage it. Whatever good you say about the Guru, the anti-guru will always focus only on the negative points. Whatever it may be.

For example, there are a few people against the current Sathya Sai Baba for him sitting on a Golden Throne. They give this as the reason why they think he is not a Living Guru. This is just pure ignorance.

There are thousands of monastaries all over India where all the Gurus have Golden Throne. A special mention has to go to the Tiruvaaduthurai Adeenam ( I hope I spelt is right) throne. There the throne has more than 18 steps before the Guru can sit. In each step there is a huge collection of rare items from all over the world including tusk of the rhinocerous from Africa which was collected centuries ago to make this throne at that time. The king told the Guru 'Nothing except the rudraksha kandi and the sacred ash is fit enough to be on top of this throne. Everything else can be at the feet of the Guru'. The king had such a tremendous 'Bhakti' for the Guru. He made the throne better than even his own.

In fact recently somebody posed a question. 'Will Shirdi Sai Baba ever sit on a Golden Throne?'. Seems like Shirdi Sai Baba the great Enlightened Guru has answered the question Himself. He is now sitting on a Golden Throne in Shirdi just for the joy of millions of His devotees worldwide.

All that happens in Shirdi is with His wish. If you think not, then you are questioning the divinity of Shirdi Sai. It implies that the questioner doesn't understand that Shirdi Sai Himself is sitting to bless His devotees. It is then a definite contradiction.

Jai Sri Sai Ram!

THIRD QUALIFICATION

Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Coming to the next qualification of the 'Anti-Gurus' - self proclaimed as the 'Gurubusters'.

THEY NEVER TELL WHAT THEIR STORY IS

Most of these Moron Anti-Gurus never tell their story and who they are or what their background is. the Anti-Gurus are just 'HYPOCRITES'.

Gurus on the other side not only give consolation, they take the complete responsibility of what they say and do with their entire life at stake.

This seemingly less important point about Anti-Gurus is one of the most important ones to note because their cunningness and baselessness will be exposed when this happens. The real reason for all their hatred will come to light. It will not be long before the lion wakes up to destroy it completely.

Second Qualification

Thursday, December 10, 2009
Hello and welcome again!

Today is a beautiful day. Lets check out the second in the list of qualifications that I think anti-gurus share.

Anti-Gurus always think they are saving the day and helping people but end up accumulating Karma

In my opinion this is the most sad part of this pattern of thinking. This I think is the main reason why one goes to the extent of doing things against the Gurus. That people think they want to 'SAVE THE WORLD' whether it is against one Guru (in which case the person thinks that others should know about my "bad" experience and not go to him / the Guru should get punished for causing my suffering) or against many Gurus in which case it is just a sinister attack and the person thinks "Ooo. I just think the world is suffering because of these Gurus. So let me save the world". This would be the first case according to me.

The other case is when the person thinks. 'Its just neither. I just want to say out loud what I think'. These are the two cases that I can think of.

The first case (with the two subcases) easily point to the fact that these anti-gurus 'saving the world' makes them accept that they themselves want Gurudom and end up having one subconsciously'. As we saw 'Saving the world' is the Guru's job! and these narcissist anti-gurus' very claim is that they don't believe in that. Well, even a baby can come to the obvious conclusion. A Guru is a Guru who tries the best to save the world. anti-gurus just criticize and does damage to the true seekers.

ALL ANTI-GURUS accumulate HUUUUUUGEEEE KARMA

It is a huge poisoning of Dharma in my humble opinion. Their souls experience the 'Naraka' (hell) above the 'Garbhodaka' ocean.

First Naraka: There is a special mention of 'Asipathira' where the person who goes against the practise of dharma is tortured by devils by being ripped of each body part!. I wouldn't want even for an anti-guru.

More Narakas (hells) to come...

Qualifications for Anti-Gurus

Wednesday, December 9, 2009
Hello and welcome again!

Today we start with the qualifications of antigurus. It just seems that antigurus want to rape the freedom of speech of the beautiful country where they live in. It is just a total abusal.

For example take these blogs that say 'I just want to expose this Guru or that'. The first qualification of an antiguru is

He/She does not have any background in the Hindu Tradition.

I would think they are pedofiles dressed up Santa Clause!. This is the first qualification.

Lights ON. Camera ON. Take 1. Scene 1.

Lets see what I mean by it. mmm. These Guru molesters as anyone can guess have no knowledge of Vedas, Upanishads, traditional rituals, value for tradition etc. nor have they had the 'gnana' or knowledge to achieve liberation. If we were to ask this question to one of these clowns:

Q: 'Have you been formally trained in the Hindu system for 12 years undergoing rigorous training? Have you learnt all the Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads etc. to the place where you can answer any question about Jiva, jagat and ihswara? Can you recite the Vedas in the traditional way?'.

Antiguru (in their mind thinking 'Oh F*** NO!'): 'Yes. I studied so long for 4 and half months in India. I know all about the mind. I know myself. And. And. (antiguru shakes vigorously) I know the world is filled with bad people who try to separate me from having relationship with my friend's underage daughter. i mean...what did I say? yeah..the world is filled bad gurus'

Q: Okie. Have you Anti-Guru been able to follow the rituals - atleast one like chanting a mantra for 'Akshara-Laksha' (repeating a mantra for 100,000 x number of letters in a mantra) and attained the complete state of any God? after being formally initiated?

Antiguru (looks like about to puke!. probably just drunk a lot and had eaten lots of rotten beef uncontrolably): I once sat beside my Guru during one of those rituals. My Guru looked like he did not do it correctly (The girl next to me looked very sexy.). If I were to do it, I will do it with all sincerity.

Q: Are you sure your Guru didn't do it correctly?

Antiguru: Yeah. i was there.

Q: Okie. Have you Anti-Guru tried some practise of meditation and fasting etc. for like 20 to 30 years with all sincerity?

Antiguru (looks like peeing in his pants): Oh yeah fasting. Sure. I have done all that (thinks..McDonalds or Burger King isn't counted. Its outside my building. I fasted inside my building).
I meditated a lot. yeah. i meditated a lot..many times a day. (thinks...sure i did meditate on my friend's wife!). I had all experiences.

Q: Sure. We totally understand your point.

Antiguru continues with eyes moving rapidly: errr. I even had experiences. yeah. real ones. Its only because of these Gurus that all the bad is happening.

Q: We understand your point. Sure. Now tell us what do you know about Hindu Gods?

Anti-Guru: All Gods are in my heart. I pray to them all. I think sacrifice to the village gods (known as grama devatas) is just old fashion. But I like and I will give my whole life for the benefit of Humanity and Hindu tradition.

Q: Thank you so much for your time. We hope to meet you soon.

Anti-Guru lost in a slur of words against Gurus when alone. suddenly realizes the camera in front of him and starts smiling and waving.

Cameras Off. Behind the screen.

Anti-Guru tries to hook up with one of the camera girls by sharing some booz that he picks from his jacket. Camera Girl kicks him...you know where. :)

Arise! Awake! Stand up for the Dharma!

Thursday, December 3, 2009

Paritranaya sadhunam vinashaya cha dushkritam.Dharma sansthapanarthaya sambhavami yuge yuge. (Gita 4:8)

For the up-liftment of the good and virtuous,
For the destruction of evil,For the re-establishment of the natural law,
I will come, again and again.

These are such powerful words of Lord Krishna! When we read this, we always tend to think why should such a beautiful being like Krishna talk harshly: "For the destruction of evil"?

It is not just now! If we take ourself into history and see how every Avatar was always surrounded by Skeptics! The unaware self-egoistic proclaimers! The funny part is that these skeptics always talked against Gurus while they lacked experience!
They constantly used terms of fear or immense greed to distract and manipulate divine seekers and loving devotees

They were furious as they did not have an iota of the glimpse of the ultimate truth and were burning with the jealousy and hatred towards the Gurus who were constantly bubbling with joy and radiating peace.

  1. When Lord Rama was alive, Ravana along with all his demons were against Lord Rama and his glories (http://www.sanatansociety.org/indian_epics_and_stories/ramayana_ram.htm)
  2. When Lord Shiva walked the planet, there were all these Rishi's of the Taruka Vana, eventhough filled with austerities, yet blinded with their egos(http://www.archive.org/stream/acatechismshaiv00unkngoog/acatechismshaiv00unkngoog_djvu.txt)
  3. When Lord Krishna was alive, not to mention, there so many demons laughing at him calling him a cow-herd boy. Nonetheless, Lord Krishna mentions several times that he is the Avatara Purusha and destroys Duriyodhana, Kamsa, Sisubaalaa and other asuras(http://krsnabook.com/contents/)
  4. When AdiShankara walked the planet he was constantly criticized by skeptics and troubled by black-magicians - the kapalikaas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adi_Shankara)
  5. When Sri Ramanuja was alive on this planet he was constantly confronted by philosophers and theologians (http://web.me.com/eternalbrothers/eternalbrothers/Shri_Ramanuja.html)
The trend has not just been to the Gurus of the east, but also the same on the Gurus of the west.
This is still continuing?? Is this even possible? People shed their tears again and again for how Gurus have been abused and forget to have that awareness when one of them who is actually living in the body is being exploited?

Has the Hindu Dharma so much gotten into sleeping hands that all the Masters have been exploited at the sight of their own Sishya parampara?
The Dharma will stand again to rejuvinate itself! Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitaha!

This blogsite is to create the awareness in all devotees and sishyaas (disciples) who want to raise the voice against such abusive information wandering the web! This blog will give the otherside view of all these baseless claims floating around! Expose the Liars and kick those depressed demons away!

I am opening up this blog for anyone who wants to express their views against these anti-guru demons!
Let us NOT encourage ANY posts which do not have any base or truth in them!

Stand up for the Dharma with an Uproar!

A few words of wisdom on Guru

Wednesday, December 2, 2009
A few words of beauty from a great Guru, Nisargadatta Maharaj. He talks on his experience and about the trust on the Guru.

Trust

Q: Is not the grace of the Guru responsible for the desire and its fulfilment? Is not the Guru's radiant face the bait on which we are caught and pulled out of this mire of sorrow?
M: It is the Inner Guru (sadguru) who takes you to the Outer Guru, as a mother takes her child to a teacher. Trust and obey your Guru, for he is the messenger of your Real Self.

Q: How do I find a Guru whom I can trust?
M: Your own heart will tell you. There is no difficulty in finding a Guru, because the Guru is in search of you. The Guru is always ready; you are not ready. You have to be ready to learn; or you may meet your Guru and waste your chance by sheer inattentiveness and obstinacy. Take my example; there was nothing in me of much promise, but when I met my Guru, I listened, trusted and obeyed.

Q: Must I not examine the teacher before I put myself entirely into his hands?
M: By all means examine! But what can you find out? Only as he appears to you on your own level.

Q: I shall watch whether he is consistent, whether there is harmony between his life and his teaching.
M: You may find plenty of disharmony -- so what? It proves nothing. Only motives matter. How will you know his motives?

Q: I should at least expect him to be a man of self-control who lives a righteous life.
M: Such you will find many -- and of no use to you. A Guru can show the way back home, to your real self. What has this to do with the character, or temperament of the person he appears to be? Does he not clearly tell you that he is not the person? The only way you can judge is by the change in yourself when you are in his company. If you feel more at peace and happy, if you understand yourself with more than usual clarity and depth, it means you have met the right man.

Take your time, but once you have made up your mind to trust him, trust him absolutely and follow every instruction fully and faithfully. It does not matter much if you do not accept him as your Guru and are satisfied with his company only. Satsang alone can also take you to your goal, provided it is unmixed and undisturbed. But once you accept somebody as your Guru, listen, remember and obey. Half-heartedness is a serious drawback and the cause of much self-created sorrow. The mistake is never the Guru's; it is always the obtuseness and cussedness of the discipline that is at fault.

Obedience

Questioner: In one's search for the essential, one soon realises one's inadequacy and the need for a guide or a teacher. This implies a certain discipline for you are expected to trust your guide and follow implicitly his advice and instruction. Yet the social urgencies and pressures are so great, personal desires and fears so powerful, that the simplicity of mind and will, essential in obedience, are not forthcoming. How to strike a balance between the need for a Guru and the difficulty in obeying him implicitly?

Maharaj: What is done under pressure of society and circumstances does not matter much, for it is mostly mechanical, mere reacting to impacts. It is enough to watch oneself dispassionately to isolate oneself completely from what is going on. What has been done without minding, blindly, may add to one's karma (destiny), otherwise it hardly matters.

The Guru demands one thing only; clarity and intensity of purpose, a sense of responsibility for oneself. The very reality of the world must be questioned. Who is the Guru, after all? He who knows the state in which there is neither the world nor the thought of it, he is the Supreme Teacher. To find him means to reach the state in which imagination is no longer taken for reality. Please, understand that the Guru stands for reality, for truth, for what is. He is a realist in the highest sense of the term. He cannot and shall not come to terms with the mind and its delusions. He comes to take you to the real; don't expect him to do anything else.

The Guru you have in mind, one who gives you information and instructions, is not the real Guru. The real Guru is he who knows the real, beyond the glamour of appearances. To him your questions about obedience and discipline do not make sense, for in his eyes the person you take yourself to be does not exist, your questions are about a non-existing person. What exists for you does not exist for him. What you take for granted, he denies absolutely. He wants you to see yourself as he sees you.

Grace

Q: Am I permitted to ask you how did you go beyond the mind?
M: By the grace of my Guru.
Q: What shape his grace took?
M: He told me what is true.
Q: What did he tell you?
M: He told me I am the Supreme Reality.
Q: What did you do about it?
M: I trusted him and remembered it.
Q: Is that all?
M: Yes, I remembered him; I remembered what he said.

-------------

Incentives

Q: A crude, unevolved man will not work without a reward. Is it not right to offer him incentives?
M: He will create for himself incentives anyhow. He does not know that to grow is in the nature of consciousness. He will progress from motive to motive and will chase Gurus for the fulfilment of his desires...

Today's Trend

Tuesday, December 1, 2009
A simple search on popular search engines gives us the following results for the keyword 'anti-guru'.

Bing - 2,550,000 results
Google - 1,460,000 results
Yahoo Search - 22,200,000 results

all under .25 secs. Impressive numbers but quite not so thrilling. So much hatred and aversion to this word 'Guru'! The sacredness of the word is getting twisted. With movies too.

As I scanned through some of the links, a few were related to computer gurus and some to business. Not in the sense that I'm talking about in this blog. Here I'm talking about the Guru who guides us to true Liberation - to 'Satya'.

Most of this crap comes form those who absolutely have no knowledge of the scriptures nor about the lives of Great Gurus. Just abasement and abusal of the power of internet for the sake of selfish motives like 'ad' money and internet fame by destroying the lives of true seekers. The very idea of anti-guru has now become a fad for fame. They all seem to do the same kind of actions. Blaming and shouting at Gurus what they can't shout at their wives (May be they lost their nuts when the wives hit them hard!). Nothing but a cult of suckers.

This blog will be dedicated to answering all questions that relate to true seeking and the role of a Sadguru in helping us transcend all doubts. If your guru has been bothered, badgered, derogated, defamed or whatever, just send me an email. Will go through as time permits and post all valid arguments for sure!

Anti-Guru cult! Here we come.

Pranam

Sunday, November 29, 2009
Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu
Gurur Devo Maheshwara
Guru Sakshat Para Brahma
Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah

'Guru is the Lord Brahma,Guru is the Lord Vishnu
Guru is the Lord Maheshwara
Guru is verily the Para Brahman - Absolute Reality
I bow dow in surrender to the Guru'

Dhyana Moolam Guru Murti
Puja Moolam Gurur Padam,
Mantra Moolam Gurur Vakyam,
Moksha Moolam Guru Kripa

'Remebering the Guru's form IS 'Dhyana' / meditation
Offering to the Guru's feet IS 'Puja'
Words of the Guru IS 'Mantra'
Grace of the Guru IS 'Moksha' / Liberation'

The river does not drink its own water nor does a tree eat its own fruit. They exist solely for the benefit of others. Similarly there are people in this world who come down time and again for the upliftment of humanity. They are called 'Guru'.

The word Guru is composed of the syllables 'gu' and 'ru', the former signifying 'darkness', and the latter signifying 'the destroyer of that [darkness]', hence a guru is one characterized as someone who dispels spiritual ignorance (darkness), with spiritual illumination (light) as per Advaya-Tãraka Upanishad (verse 16),

The syllable gu means shadows
The syllable ru, he who disperses them,
Because of the power to disperse darkness
the guru is thus named.

– Advayataraka Upanishad 14—18, verse 5

As Krishna puts it in the holy text of Gita - 'Sambhavaami yuge yuge' i.e. 'I will come down again and again' to uplift dharma for the benefit of Humanity. We bow down to each and every Guru who has, is and will be alive.
